Welcome to Kokari Guest House

When we started running fishing charters in the Andaman Islands in 2006, it was difficult to find accommodation that would cater to the needs of anglers from across the globe. This included spotlessly clean surroundings, food to suit diverse palates, early starts and a good location central to our operations.
Kokari Guest House first started in 2009 and was available exclusively to anglers from all over the world. We have only recently opened our doors to customers other than our angler friends, thus providing holiday makers with an option to stay at a venue meeting international standards.

What better place to stay at if you’re chasing the Kokari…?

Kokari is the local name for the Giant Trevally (Caranxlgnoblis), which is abundantly found the Andaman waters, and a globally sought-after sport fish. Many travel the world to catch, cradle and release this magnificent creature which is known to be one of the strongest and hardest to catch among the fish species.

We decided to name our guesthouse after this magnificent species as most anglers come to the Andamans to hook, grapple and be at odds with this creature. What better place to stay at if you’re chasing the Kokari…?

At Kokari you will see lots of angling mementos that carry stories about the fish that got away and the few that didn’t. Spectacular sunrise views, spacious rooms, delicious food and friendly hosts will make your holiday with us an experience you’ll never forget.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Our goal is to provide guests with a unique holiday experience with our hospitable service and airy well-appointed rooms. Customer comfort and well being is our priority. We believe in focusing on customer satisfaction by providing quality services and working on suggestions to maintain a high standard in all our offerings. We strive for continuous improvement through periodical staff training and employing skilled people. Our CSR initiative to reduce one-time use plastic products is an indication our dedication is not limited to our clientele and team, but also to the environment that contributes much to our wellness.

Our people are chosen carefully and trained periodically to enhance their skills. They have completed graduate school, and are trained in tourism services. Each one, comes with years of customer service experience and speaks English and Hindi. To keep you safe, happy and comfortable, we have the best in the industry to cater to your needs.
